Jane Baker (teaching: IMPROVISATION w/ Monica Horan) At 15, Jane became involved with youth theater as a performer and student at the Upper Darby Summer Stage. Four years later, Jane began teaching Improvisation for that same theater. Youth theater opened the door to her future and provided her with friends who remain among the closest in her life. Jane has a BA in Theater, Hofstra University and a Masters in Education from West Chester State in Pennsylvania. She is a Doctoral Candidate at Ohio State University in Theater in Education. Jane teaches and directs at the New England Youth Theater where she teaches Improv and Acting classes and directs plays throughout the year. Jane is a published playwright, having published plays for young actors which have been performed in the Melodrama Festival at NEYT. Most recently, Jane has finished post production work on a Pilot Episode of a TV series called 110 Llandaff, starring David Koechner (Anchorman, the Office) and Paula Pell (Saturday Night Live), along with 14 younger actors. This series, which was written and directed by Jane, is based on Jane’s childhood.
